Quantum Physics and the Observer Effect - HEY, WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING AT?

A Quantum Physicist who is prominent and well respected by the name of John Wheeler, who had Einstein for a colleague, is known for his statement that we live in a 'participatory' Universe.

He is quoted by Cosmic Search Magazine (Vol. 1 No. 4) as saying “No elementary phenomenon is a phenomenon until it is an observed (or registered) phenomenon”.

We are not victims of circumstance and we do have a role to play in what we believe and how we experience our lives.  Quantum Physics experiments show that at the level of quantum energy, the influence of the person observing has quite a remarkable affect on whether or not the quanta becomes a particle or a wave.

Experiments on the quantum level show that matter exists as probabilities and tendencies rather than absolute things, suggesting that “reality” is actually subjective. This is significant in that this is the foundation, the basic building block of the formation of matter and the movement of events in time. 

What you focus your intention and attention on determines the outcome!  This is important in addressing everything, including how beliefs are formed. 

Your choice to give your attention to thoughts, actions and the appearance of what goes on around you will determine how your own life plays out. On the macroscopic scale of things, this implies that, once again, our consciousness is involved in the creation of our experience. 

If you keep your focus and attention on what you don’t want or if you believe the negative mind chatter that goes on in your head about yourself, you will create a life ‘reality’ that goes along with that focus of awareness. 

What you focus on expands. 

Look around you in your world. If there are things that contract your experience of life and you do not want them, know that there are ways of changing them, but you first must open your mind to new possibilities and new ways of thinking.

If you keep doing what you are doing, you will keep getting what you are getting. There is an old adage that says it is insanity to continue to do the same things and expect different results!
